Do we use ryuu to refer to Hatori? Oh well, I am now.

It's not finished, if you couldn't tell. But I didn't want to look lazy, so I colored what I could and scanned it in. However, I've decided not to give up... meaning when I go to school tomorrow, I'm going to ask everyone I know if they have a navy, midnight, or just plain ve'y dark blue colored pencil. And then borrow it. And color in Hatori. I refuse to compromise this time... because there's only so many shades of black you can put in one picture.

I've noticed after I finished drawing that I made several errors [I blame the little sister... she refused to leave my room]. Hatori's eyes are smaller than in the original picture [I do this with Yuki, too... put them farther apart and make them a little smaller. I don't know why... maybe it's some psycho subconscious thing... or attempting to compensate for anime-ish overly-large eyes. I want to make things look slightly more realistic...?], and his hair line should be farther down. Which, looking back on it, is probably why I had so many issues drawing his bangs... His mouth, too. I love the expression. Yuki does expressions like that too, and I love them. But drawing them is a whole other matter... haa... it's so hard!!! So once again, I didn't do it right. Ah well...
On coloring issue notes, I shaded his face just like the book did, but it doesn't look as good here. Maybe because of the errors I made with the lineart...?
Hm.. his expression is funny. I've no idea what it's supposed to be. But it looked better in the book. Maybe this is a sign that I should leave the FB drawing to Takaya-sensei...?

Dunno. Maybe if I get really upset with him later, I'll try drawing 'Tori-san again. Fix my mistakes... see if that helps.

On another note, I found in a later volume a picture of Ayame in this style, along with... Akito? I'm not sure. But the person doesn't look enough like Shigure or 'Tori-san, and I can't think of anyone else who looks like that... So I guess it's Akito. But there really isn't enough of him to draw [he is standing directly behind Aya, facing profile while Aya faces forward] I might try it...
What really amused me, though, is that it looks like Akito got a manicure from Hana-chan [long black nails...]
So perhaps I will draw them, too... but I did look, there's no other pictures in that style. Sorry, Sadiera... no Haru. Though, I would like to try doing one without a guide, to see how it turns out... so maybe I'll look for a facial expression on Haru that I like, and just invent something that fits his style. Which... will be interesting...
