They appeared in both Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show, in segments called Peabody's Improbable History where they would use their time machine, the WABAC (Wayback) Machine to travel through history, always with silly results. The characters are Mr. Peabody (the dog) and his boy Sherman.

Oh its been sooo long since I've seen Mr.Peabody & his boy Sherman ... at least a decade ...yet I still remember the Wayback Machine

....well Mr. Peadoby can be forgiven for not knowing that it can cause massive headaches, irritation, and indigestion for some. OThers it causes them to have a tendency to switch views on subjects and memory problems ...usually with what their views were orginally
