Description Wash and cut into large bite-size pieces 2 white and 2 orange sweet potatoes. Place in crockpot.

Cut into bite-size pieces one 1.6 lb boneless pork sirloin roast. Place in large ridge-bottom skillet with a few splashes of honey apple crisp wine, one common teaspoon of crunchy WowButter, 1/2 tsp table salt, 1/2 tsp sea salt, 1/2 tsp ground marjoram, 1/2 tsp rosemary leaf powder, and 1/2 tsp star anise powder. Set heat to 7 (medium-high) and brown.

Quick explanation: our old stove died. Our new stove has different number settings for the burners, and this is our first recipe with the new stove. It starts at low, then goes from 2-8, and then high; 5 seems to be about medium, and low is basically simmer.

Add to crock pot 1 tsp kosher salt, 1.5 tsp lavender flower, 1 tsp summer savory, 1 tsp sweet basil, 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp Saigon cinnamon.

Once meat is mostly browned, place in layer atop sweet potatoes. Add one 12-oz package fresh cut butternut squash, 1 gala apple, cored and diced, 2 small carrots, washed and cut, 1/3 lb. frozen cut-leaf spinach, a handful of reduced sugar Craisins, and 1/3 cup pomegranate juice. Cover and set crockpot for 9 to 10 hours on low.

WowButter is a soy-based peanut butter substitute safe for my wife; I thought it would melt and add some oils, but instead it almost fried up in a very interesting fashion.  Overall, though, the dish was delicious, with the meat and vegetables tender and wonderful.  I added very little salt, so you're free to add some afterwards if necessary, but I didn't see the need.

Going to have to try this. Is it ok to use reg. peanut butter, meaning, will it change the taste  more than a bit?

Oh, sure; the only reason I didn't is because my wife's allergic.

Cool, my wife has some herb allergies so we make a lot at home.

My wife had an emergency appendectomy six years ago and developed her food allergies afterwards.  A few went away eventually, but most have stuck, and it's forced me to get quite creative with cooking to insure she has good things.  There are very few places we can just go and have something.  What herbs can't she have?

odd ones like Saffron and Tumeric. So we stay away from middle eastern foods.

Oh, well, that's not too bad!  It's good that you can avoid those. What about ginger?  It's related to Turmeric.

Ginger makes her mouth tingled so we are very careful with it's usage.
