I had recently watched this scene from Code Lyoko Evolution's episode 24 and laughed my head off, and when I ended up watching the first episodes of Code Lyoko during the Easter, I made a sudden remark on the similarities of these two angry Jim scenes.

You're right, there are flaws but also good moments. I approve how they chose to get William to be part of the Lyoko Warriors. And the episode Les Sans-Codes is one of my favourites, maybe the most favourite one. The only complaint I have about that episode is that they cut away the scene where we saw why William was so upset later. I mean, they could have cut away something else or changed something to make it shorter, right?

I didn't know there was a deleted scene... that would explain William's mood from that episode. Yeah, they could have cut away one of the specter scenes xD

And yeah, a spectre scene or the beginning Lyoko fight could have been at least shorter. Surely there was room for cutting or shortening changes

Regardless I'm never gonna like Code Lyoko Evolution, I'm sorry it's just bad for me, I even TRIED to watch several episodes but I couldn't, and don't get me even started with the awful english dub

I see. And yeah, I watched one episode of English dub, it wasn't good. I've watched it all in French, some episodes in Hungarian. That was kinda ok, but I prefer the original voices over a dub anyways especially for live-action. And Evolution has a lot that could have been much better. I like it, but there's a lot of room and even need for improvement, since I can criticize it a lot, which I rarely can do about things I like.

I think that would have been the best. Live-action limits the Xana attacks a lot, while I think they could have come up with something else than just spectres most of the time. But they didn't, and the spectres got old and boring.
