thank you so much. I was blown away by that ending. It is humbling in a way knowing that someone loves your art enought to pay that much.

Looks wonderful! I love her shoes. That was a detail I couldn't see in the other shots. I hope she finds the person she is meant for.
This new one I'm working on I had to spin the eyes around until the pupils seemed to match up. Sometimes it makes me long for the old days when I just painted them.
I don't know if I even have a shot of that piece. It was from ages ago when I had first started in the doll world. I have a big plastic case full of all my old pics and negs. Like I ever wanna go through that pile!

I designed the lil shoes myself based on photo of antique baby shoes. They are made out of leather and are so darling. Ive discovered I love making tiny shoes!

I do that too if the pupil is covered enough by eyelid which usualy they are. I never liked just painting mine. I always wanted depth for expression.
I recall some of your old peices that were very diffenrt from now. one lil diva sitting in a frame. At least I think it was yours!

Well they are perfection. I loved making shoes way back in the day when I made "dollie" dolls. Hats and shoes where my favorite.

Oh my work has grown so far from what I used to do. I don't like most of my old work but there are still a handful that I'd proud to show. I think it's wild to look back and see how much you've grown as an artist.

Yes, that redhead sitting in the frame that Duirwaigh had for sale was mine. 10 years old. My I've come a long way!

These are only my second pair. I made silk slippers for Nimue. Im going to look around for tiny beads and such that I can add to shoes. My work isnt exaclty dollie so probably they wont be as cute as this pair.
Oh good my memory wasnt tricking me! I know your style is so diffenrt now.And youve grown tremendously But I liked that stlye too.

I know Ive grown alot too. Im more confident to do odd things and my technique is less accident.

Lemme know if you want sources for tiny beads. I have done so much jewelry and such so I have some sources for the really tiny stuff. You'll go blind working with them so have really good lighting!
I liked the stuff I did way back, it's just the body work was shoddy. That damn Cernit was like marshmallow goo to work with. How the hell I ever did anything with it I'll never know. All these newbies are using now, I say they can have that crap cuz I hate it!

Yes, you have really blossomed. I have always been drawn to the visceral beauty of your work. You have reached a level of refinement that is very nice. Imagine where you will be in another year?
Hey, don't knock accidental techique. You've found some wonderful stuff that way. ;0)

I have some antique seed beads that were given to me. I dont have a good source though so that woulg be nice.

Some of the holes are so small a needle wont go through! what Ive been meaning to do to add a little sparkle and texture interest to by putting a fine wire through them and twist and just embed in the clay. I was hopeing to find some tiny shards that look like quarts points. I may have to settle for stone chips.

I worked in cernit for a bit ,but got too frustrated. I dont think its a good clay for tiny work. I was able to get a nice bust, but Id hate to do a fullsculpt with it.

Viceral I like that. Yuppers Im becoming more refined and less hit or miss. I think in another year Ill be far braver with subject matter and to have more story element. Theres so much I want to try out! Im really excited about my new projects and what I can do this year! Hopefully I can wow ya!

This is one of the best places I have ever found for antique and vintage beads. Just look at their italian beads. I don't know how much you know about beads so if I tell you things you already know, then just ignore me. Lol. The higher up the number size of the bead means the smaller it is. I believe they have 15 and 16 here. I don't think you'd want to get much tinier. I adore Charlottes. They look like a seed bead but they have one faceted cut. They sparkle like you wouldn't believe. The size 15 is what I have and they are perfect. Tri cuts are really nice too. They sparkle like little diamonds. I have a ton of them.
Just looking throught the site I see I'm going to have to place an order! Some really yummy stuff.

Uh oh Im in trouble tiny semi preious stone beads! Ive been looking for those. I have some seed beads that are 15 and others that are 18. Jess sent them to me because her mom had a bead shop, but Ive since lost the link.
The facet ones sound neat. I could use just a touch of sparkle for contrast. Lots of candy there!
Id never seen the charlottes before, but they look good. More natural and with interesting play than a perfect sphere. I love those Czech buttons too.

Thanks for that! hugs
