Just had this fun idea to play around with symmetry. These two might become characters but I'm still coming up with ideas for them at the moment. The bottom one was a custom by but I did some interpreting to make it fit with the top one more.The ideas I have so far:
-These two are brothers
-The older one (top) was sent to join the army for a few years to fight some war or another. He does his best to put those times behind him, but occasionally something will set off awful memories of the battlefield.
-The younger one (bottom) is fairly carefree and happy, but also a hopeless romantic. If he sees somebody that he likes the look of, he will be convinced that they are meant to be together and will spend countless nights musing over them. He has his head in the clouds most of the time, and comes off as shy.
-They sometimes complete each other's sentences and speak in rhyme
-They enjoy being in each other's company and will often take long walks through the woods
That's all so far! If you have any name suggestions I'll be happy to hear them.

For this piece, I did the sketch in white and lowered the opacity. Then I drew the outline in a single colour in the layer under it. I then hid the sketch and coloured in the outline, so I just had the silhouette.
After that, it was just adding the colours in where they needed to go. The shading was done on another layer.
