Taking a rest - OK... and great shot by the way.
But the comments are making the assumption that he is far from early taking a "rest" - but this is his way of life....
I agree totally that NOBODY should live like this (unless they really want to - free choice and all that), but I do know a few characters who do take a "rest" this way - especially after a little "lubrication" on a warm day - for they have a "home" (in some cases a hostel - not perfect I know) to spend their nights in and to receive care and hot food....
I note that some kind folks have been caring - the clothes and shoes are pretty good - something I would wear!!
Compassion is what is often missing - but this shot IS a compassionate shot, and the comments respond to that - well done Lois!!

I feel it is very important to recognise what is happening with the homeless... My friends and myself have been taking food and clothing to the homeless centre here in my town... I just get a few cheap cans of soup of beans, it doesn't have to be best quality, it feeds others thats what matters. Someone gave a new duvet. My friend from Cats protection has taken several car loads and they are always thrilled to bits to get anything... I sent lots of my Winter woolies as I have worn them for a few years, they still look nearly new... I will have to get new ones for this Winter...

I put out used clothing in clear bags and it's gone in a hot second.

Some scenes shock us because for some people the indigent are invisible. And often we need to question human dignity.

yes......some people may think or wish they are invisible but
we do see them and ... We much do something to stop the
cycle of homelessness ..

Excellent!! i agree.. i have homeless people where i work. they are the nicest people. we just had one died of cancer. he was in the hospital for a month in a half. they had to remove his stomach cause it was rioted w/cancer. last time i saw him alive in the hospital dying & suffering in annoying. cried so much, my eyes where sore the next day...
