I understand..what you mean....

if one is not used to tall buildings
it's very impressive and just in your face
height.......
when I leave the city for a week go to the country...
come back I duck at i'm walking......!!
the height is overwhelming to me........

that is right, when going form west europe towards switzerland, suddenly you realise there is no horizon animore, only mountains,
if i am not mistaken west europe is 2 meters beneath sea level and east is about 2km and up , above sealevel but very mounty like
