…This is the last time I ever listen to Concrete Angel while trying to draw Valerie. EVER.At any rate, I decided to use this one to practice my inking skills, since I haven’t really done a good, solid inking job since I got out of school. I’m a little horrified at how rust I turned out to be, but I guess that’s what happens when you don’t use a skill for over two months… the fact that I did it all in less then an hour probably didn’t help, either. I’ll probably do more of these in the future to try and get the hang of it again. In the meantime, though, I guess I can submit it into ~ValerieFans or something…

The majority of the inking is great. The line width is execllent for the most part. As for the wings, they could use some work but they are very nice looking and don't take away form the piece.
The bottom half of Val's costume is a bit busy and has to mcuh black that makes all the details hard to notice. Perhapes some thinner lines on the lace work.

I used a 005 for the lace work and smaller details... I guess I did still make them too thick, though. I'm used to making everything thicker and bolder in my comic class, and like I said it's been a while since I've done any inking at all. Plus this is just the basic layout with no fill or techniques.

Its good, then again, Concret Angel is a good song...
The wings need a bit of work though. They don't really...suit Val. She doesn't seem the type to get the big fluffy grand wings. She'd more then likely get the more battle ready warrior wings.

They're supposed to look large and megestic. Kinda a gloomy elegance... I need work on getting mood across in my inking, though.

They do the job, its just that if Val ever REALLY became an Angel, do you think she'd settle for wings like those? As with her Ghost hunting outfit, she'd probally go with something less majestic...
