Yeah, I know I've already done this but just hear me out. First off, I'm really out of ideas
Second, I got some feedback on the original "Captain N 2K" drawing. Some people asked, "Where's Simon?" I was surprised not only that I forgot him
but also that anyone even noticed that he was missing. I guess I under-estimated how many people remembered Captain N.So here's a new version (with Simon!), done in the cel-shaded style I've been using lately. I also tried to stay true to Kevin and Lana's original designs. Also, like in the original , I tried to stay true to the official designs of the other characters, as opposed to the Captain N designs.
So, from left to right: Pit (Kid Icarus), Princess Lana, Kevin Keene, Simon Belmont (Castlevania), and Mega Man, with Mother Brain (Metroid) in the shadows.

Princess Lana is a version of Palutena (and Palutena is a version of Athena [Pallas Athena]).

Duke the dog is Duck Hunt Dog. He's the dog, and Captain N is the player from offscreen who shoots the ducks with the Zapper.

Also I can see Ridley being Mother Brain's main henchmen instead of the goofballs King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard who is not even a boss and just a really annoying enemy. Thantos would probably work good as a comedic baddie and his transformation abilities could go for some nice gags and possibilities.

Now that’s adding realism to the picture! For contrast, how about showing Mother Brain and her goon squad (Hippo, Eggplant Wizard and Dr. Wily)?
