Ok... I noticed that many users (at least the ones I've run into) are rather young. So, many of you that watch me may not even remember this cartoon. In 1989, Nintendo and DiC made a cartoon about a teenage boy, Kevin, who ends up in "Videoland" and becomes "Captain N". He and his friends fight the evil Mother Brain (the one from Metroid). For some odd reason I thought of this old cartoon I watched as a kid and decided to "update" some of the characters.If ya want more info on the pic, send me a message. I remember watching this when I was a kid too! Kid Icarus was one of my favorite characters. I'm actually thinking about creating a fun story about these guys called Captain N the Game Master: Upgrade where they will have a new look and new adventures they will be facing. I like this picture a lot. Just wondering if you left out Simon Belmont on purpose or by accident? He was funny with his ego maniac personality. LOL

I remember Captain N: The Gamemaster. Nice pic. But if anyone on here doesn't remember a time before the Nintendo Gameboy, they won't remember this show.

If there was one old cartoon that needed a revive(other than sonic satam, because that's the easiest answer for me), Captain N would be a definate need for a revive...But the only things i would say needed change would have to be update the characters to look like the current generation and since it is a nintendo themed series it should BE a nintendo themed caroon, sure Mega Man was only on the Nintendo back then, but when diffrent consoles showed up like the Sega Master System, Mega Man had a game on it called "The Wily Wars", or as I know it as the 16-bit Mega Man 1, then when sony had its consoles, Mega man pretty much left nintendo for good at this point, not counting the awesome Mega Man 9...In other words, keep it nintendo themed, but also keep it somewhat like the old cartoon, you know, close to it and not fucked up like Sonic X or F-Zero GP Legend, damn you 4kids, the people who dubbed Sailor Moon dubbed better than you!

fantastic work! one of my fave shows as a kid back in the day my fave one was where kevin helps link in the quest for the potion of power i just got the dvd complete series =3 captain N forever!

Not THAT is a good update. Now how would Simon Belmont look this time around. Kevin definatly looks more modern. And Mega Man's the way he's suppose to look. As for Lana...Woo! Now she's prettier then ever. And it's not because you made her scantly clad.
Oh, I almost forgot. What about Game Boy? You can either keep him or drop him. Keep him and you'll have a choice of either DS or SP. Those would fit as names anyway.
Anyway, very nice. Although I just notice Kevin looks a little...plump.

Some of my fondest memories around the toddler and post-toddlers years was of my older brother (and fellow gamer) and myself parking our behinds in front of the TV, and Captain N was high on the list of our all-time favorite shows. Kid Icarus and Game Boy were my favorites.
Looking back now I'm a bit dissapointed on the character designs and portrayal, and I honestly think they could've done a better job. Regardless, I still love the show, and if the rumors are true I'll be one of the first to buy the Captain N DVDs when they come out later this year. I already saw the old Legend of Zelda cartoon DVD at the store not too long ago. Does anyone remember that show?
I always thought it would be neat if they did an updated remake of Captain N, perferably with all the heros from Nintendo games, like in Super Smash Bros. Needless to say, I absolutly LOVE your picture.

I have very faint memories of this show... It was so long ago... I was four when this show aired, and it must not have lasted very long... (either that or the channel didn't.)
It's a shame Nintendo doesn't join up with some high-class cartoon making company (like DC) to create an All-star animated series starring their main mascots. Just take the cast from Super Smash Brothers Melee (the good guys anyway), and you've got your hero group.
Ever since I realized that was Zelda working with Captain N, it makes me wonder where the heck Link was.
As for your picture, I find it very good. Mega Man was done the best in my opinion, and Zelda too.
