I dont care if some people dont like them.But it pisses me off when people go on about huting them, or hating them and anyone who likes them, or saying "screw wolves, I like [_any less recognized animal__] .

i say this because not only do i love wolves, but because of some of the childish actions i have seen here on this very site! While simply looking up one of my favorite animals i found far too many anti or childish hate stamps and comments, that seemed to be submitted for no reason at all and rudely put as well.....

A few weeks ago I wrote a journal entry about just that!
I HATE it when I always have to defend myself because IΒ΄m a wolf fan...In real life, not many people understand my love for wolves (and animals in general) and on the internet IΒ΄m afraid of being called a "fangirl" or something because of the overabundance of wolf fans!
I would even love wolves if they were not popular
(where I live they arenΒ΄t popular at all, because there are a lot of idiots with Red Riding Hood Complex) and just because of the animal, not because of anime, werewolves and that stuff!

I like wolves too, but I don't like them to the point like you know "OMG SAVE THE WOLFSSS" I do support wolf hunting, but I'm not one of those people who go on and on about it.

Finally! A stamp like this is way overdue. Whenever people see I like wolves they're like "Oh, you like wolves! They're so retarded! They kill people all the time! They're dangerous! They should all be killed off!" It irritates me so much. Then I give them this whole lecture of the importance of wolves and how they very rarely attack humans without cause. And I get a deep satisfaction when their only answer is "Oh." That teaches them a thing or two!

yeah I also hate it,if other people like a certain other animal then why do they try to make a competition saying this animal needs more help,in my eyes it's not respectful at all,I love wolves,and still there are people saying,wolves already got enough attention,we need to look at other animals,not to be cruel towards those people,but I hate these kind of people,people has already done to much to these wonderfull animals,but now when it seems to become better for wolves some people have to guts to say they had enough attention,serious !! srry i'm talking to much I think ^^'

yeah,in my opinion unrecognized or not,every animal needs help,it doesn't matter if they are unrecognized or if everyone knows them,if they are ugly or pretty,if they need help then so it will be ,and if another person wants to help an animal they truly admire then so it will be,people don't have the right to tell that person which animal they should support or not,in the end a person that truly loves animals will support every animal

I agree. I like wolves. I draw them alot. But, eh...I don't think their seriously the best animal in the world. Bears are alot better in my opinion.

They arent my favorite animal either, but they're pretty close. To a lot of people wolves are the 'best' animal, and it shouldnt matter to anyone who dosent feel that way, its just an opinion.
Its so rude that someone can just go out of their way to bash on a strangers profile becuase of what they draw. :/

I agree! It irritates me when people go about bashing wolves and bashing people who like wolves =/ I mean, I lice Asian civets and musk deer too, but because they're less-well known than wolves doesn't automatically make 'em a million times cooler -.- The affore-mentioned "rarely known" species are rarely seen by humans naturally (with maybe the exception of one sub-species of musk deer); wolves are rarely seen because of humans. Get your facts straight before you start bashing!

Seriously, I dont understand why people think they have to like less known-of animals and bash the ones that are more common. I mean I like a lot of animals that people haven't heard of also, but its ok to like animals that are popular like wolves too.
