Yeah, initially this sounds like a stupid idea. But rather than looking at this picture in a literally way, try looking at it by the symbolism behind it . . .
*The Matrix represents the internet, as people tend to live a 2nd life different from who they are.
*Bieber and Beliebers represent corruption of stupid people; a plague on humanity, they think only how they are programed to think by the media. Stupid people; like Beliebers have no brains, no identity, they're all just clones. Just like Agents in the Matrix, they spread corruption and try to control a conversation in whatever site they jump into.
*The Video Game mascots represent the many people of the internet; we all come from different backgrounds and believe in different ideas. Biggest explain in terms of video games being Sonic fanboys (like myself) and Mario fanboys.
Basically I wanted to make a poster that combines Sonic and friends with Mario and Luigi and this was the first thought that popped into my mine.

*Wreck-It Ralph; because I needed something to fill in that space, and seeing how his movie (which I still haven't seen yet) combines multiple real video game franchises, I figure he'd be the prefect choice for this poster's middle man.
*Danny the Hedgehog (fan-made character, purple upfront; speed type)
*Winnie the Hedgehog (fan-made special friend character, purple right of Danny; power/strength type)
*M. the Echidna (fan-made arch rival character, black left of Danny; power/strength type)

It's ok, for people to be obsessed with things to an extent, as I little child of the 90s, my three main obsessions were Ninja Turtles, Sonic and the original six MM Power Rangers.
But Beliebers are obsessed on a downright mentally unhealthy level, and even to the point they're own down right sadistic to anyone who disagrees with them. And to top it off, the thing they're obsessed with; Justin Bieber isn't even a good person, he's down right juvenile and disgusting the way he acts.

perfectly said,being a fan to a gamer would actually make more sense since even those guys can actually be more effective in society more that him!
what i like best about this piece that it's not like the rest of the other terribly-photo shopped pictures of JB with a bad joke inserted in it that i see on the group!...it's actually an original concept that was made from scratch and that have a deep message within,well done my friend,well done!

Yeah, in a film class this summer, they were teaching up to look at the meaning behind the subtle things in the background of the image. I was so glad to apply some of that here, have things represent other things
