I was inspired by two Rhodesian Ridgeback pieces of art I've seen in the past week.
*glomps Scatch*Ridgebacks are known as the 'lion' dog, because they were used to hunt lions in Africa. They're my favorite species of dog. One of the main characters in my favorite book, A Story Like the Wind, is a Ridgeback -- his name's Hintza.
One of the most obvious features of the Ridgeback is the 'ridge' of fur along the top of their back.
I did a puppy version of this guy, too, but I didn't color it yet.
