Companion to Dressed Appropriately ...

- Blood Moon/Ysabel Arroyo, somewhere in time.

- Behind-the-Scenes: I was testing an HDRI setup (specifically this one , I think, by AS-Dimension-Z ) meaning to use it for an update to a previous render - the one linked above. This was going to be a simple solo nude - same pose, same camera - since I needed to see how well the light worked with Bel's skin, but then I started adding clothes, trying different hair styles, playing around with terrain props, and shaders, and... You get the picture. I was also testing out the Warg HD . I'd used it for a russet-furred wolf walking along with Ysabel kinda like how Zenobia is in the modern day version, but it was too much.

- Update: There won't be an update to Dressed Appropriately with this lighting. What I've seen so far exposes texture issues with the ground I don't know how to fix - where it looks all jagged, pixelated, etc. So I rendered this one again and tried to improve how the terrain blends into the background. I also let it run for 5000 iterations and there is no postwork here except for my signature.

- There are many things I like about this version of Ysabel (using Genesis 8 Female). She's finally the right height for one - 5'6." I actually used SpyroRue's old Measurement Wall from ShareCG to figure it out along with the height slider from Kayleyss' Aurore (and some slight adjustments after that). Her figure is about right, too. As I've said before Frank Frazetta's paintings and Serpieri's Druuna influenced Bel's earliest descriptions; she's supposed to be voluptuous. The texture I'm currently using - Mikka for Mei Lin 8 - makes a beautiful and realistic base for her. But the thing I'm happiest about is that I edged her facial features just a touch more towards what you might see in Olmec art. I'm not sure if Ysabel is an Olmec or Mayan and neither is she (her "origin" story leaves room for speculation; probably an adjacent coastal tribe) - and their artwork was stylized - but she is from their era and geographical location, so I aimed for a little more this time than "kinda like Jessica Alba with a heavier build."
