Description Testing Ysabel with Monique7's shader. Also, after studying Olmec art again, I decided to reduce a few values making up Ysabel's shape, then blend in a little bit of AnnaHD and Monique7 . I spent a lot of time applying Iray shaders to the Princess Zyanya outfit for this image, but the render time was getting bogged down. So, enjoy the nude version! Even then, what you see here still took six hours and was only 58% finished.

Story bits: Ysabel was given an axe of sorts, made by a Viking lover she traveled across much of North America with, so when I saw these Brutal Weapons by Strangefate I thought the cleaver in particular was perfect for her. As for the anaconda, I needed some green to balance that side of the portrait and Ysabel has had a few frightening moments with this species of snake.

No problem! I'm constantly amazed how much 3D art has come on in sophistication since its early days and there is an underlying vision in your imagery.

If there's any underlying vision it comes from trying to convey situations and show people I can see quite clearly with my imagination. Just wish I had better tools and/or skills to work with.

I understand, I guess. I would also hazard to say that, to the observer looking in, you are doing an excellent job of conveying imaginative situations. Good luck with continuing to develop those skills and tools!

Thank you. She's definitely a lot of fun to work with. Disturbing at times since all of the dark "what if" stuff gets dropped into her character, but fun.

I can understand that. What's the serpent up to?

He (or she) is probably just curious. Ysabel runs two degrees warmer than normal people (Layla does, too) so things that are drawn to heat tend to go, "Oooh! What's that?"

And relating to the story: at this point in Ysabel's timeline there shouldn't be anyone left in the Americas who can "talk" to snakes.

I really like Ysabel's expression here! Curious what her thoughts were when you were creating this...

I might give it better context later, but basically she's not as fond of giant snakes as she used to be. So it might go something like this:

"Keep your distance, move along, and there won't be a problem. Touch me and I'll be making new clothes out of your hide and jewelry out of your bones."
