Description An alternate version of Seven Style using Stonemason's Derelict Corner, DzFire's Maximum Madness, and my Karen 7-styled "Elena" morph rather than the original Eva 7. I wanted to see if how "soft" or "hard" this version looks depends on the angle and lighting because it seemed that way when I was making her, but it wasn't showing up in renders. Recreating the first and best Elena pic seemed like a good way to compare. Responses from "TheOrgano" had me thinking harder about the whole thing.

Also... There was originally another one-off render here. I decided to use the slot for something a little more useful.

Β Character Notes Β
An important detail of Elena's backstory is that she restored and rebuilt a muscle car. It was part of her rehabilitation after quitting the DEA and there were a lot of personal reasons tied into why she did it, what car she chose. But I'd never settled on what kind of car it was. I just knew it had to be something from '69 through '73. I was browsing through the automobiles at DAZ, looking for something that fits, browsing the freebies I've picked up, too, and out of them all DzFire's Maximum Madness is the only one I kept coming back to, that seemed like it suited Elena. In fact, I even came up with a damned good reason why she, an American, would have an Australian muscle car. It was payment in part for one of her first jobs as a private investigator - a Ford Falcon GT that the wealthy client had imported, meant to restore, but lost all interest in.

Unfortunately, I think there's an issue with American and Australian cars having steering wheels on the opposite side... But the DzFire car has it on the left which is good because that's how I'd want it... So would this not be a Ford Falcon? Or is it possible to flip sides when doing a restoration job? Details, details. More things to research. Or call my brother about.

Hmmm. I think this one with the lighting she looked tougher than the other one. So it's definitely changeable between the lighting and the camera angles. Very cool though. Elena looks amazing.

This was something I explained during a college class when we were talking about "identification technology" in law enforcement. Lighting and camera angles can make a person look wildly different from one shot to the next, so the then-current programs were all very iffy at best. I don't know if it's improved since then (and don't really care anymore) but at least I can make great-looking characters with DAZ.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you like her. I do, too, and so does Layla.

Yeah, it really can make that much of a difference.

I do like her. A lot.Β

Who is Layla?

Elena is from a long collection of stories I've written over the years - some finished, but most just outlined. The main character is Layla and everything is seen through her eyes. Elena drifts in and out of the series, becomes very dear to Layla as it progresses. It's all complicated by Elena's partner, Ysabel. There's a lot of unresolved stuff between all three of them that drags on for years.

For a long time I'd removed Elena and Ysabel (since around 2000 at least), but I never throw out or delete anything. It goes into old files. Recently I figured out that those two could help combine a few of the outlines into workable stories and cut down on excess supporting characters. So... When I was creating this I had to think of not just what I like, but what Layla would be drawn to.

For the most recent version of Layla see: winterwolf797.deviantart.com/a…

I started and stopped this one so many times to make changes. I'm glad you think it finally came out right. Thank you.
