Excellent contrast and detail with the close up shot. You've managed to capture the glimmer on the petals of the flower and the "fuzz" on the stems.
However, I find the smaller flower to be distracting. It pulls from the main focus which should be the two flowers in the center. It's also facing another direction in the shot which I feel throws off the balance somewhat since you have negative space to the right, and then a filler to the left.
In terms of originality I find that close up flower portraits (presumably macro shots) are popular and very, very common among photographers. It's not a bad thing, but perhaps change the angle slightly so it's not so similar to other flower shots I've seen. Adjusting just a little bit can make an image seem more unique rather then just another close up shot.
Your impact is stellar. With the additive of the blurred background in light yellow and green it really works to bring out the deep red of the flower you took a photo of. This particular shade of crimson reminds me of the bright lipstick you'd see someone wearing.
Overall I'd consider this to be an amazing piece and your camera work obviously shows you know your way "around a lens" so to speak.
Keep up the excellent work.

This photo definitely has some wonderful colors going on in it. The blur/bokeh in the background adds to it, plus everything is sharpened very well.
However, I do not find the composition to be particularly unique or intriguing; it seems like a photo I may have seen before.
I think that the small flower at the bottom is distracting and does not add to photo; instead it leads the eye away from the center of focus. I'd like to see the photo a little bit less center, in general. Some asymmetry might help you here!
Overall, I think you display great technique and vision, just perhaps this photo is not the best representation of that.
Best of luck to you!

This is great! The bright red stands out, and really brightens the picture. It is also very detailed. I think you should frame it! Also, since the colors red and green are opposites on the color wheel, the daisies really stand out. The petals are sleek and beautiful. One of the reasons I like this picture is because it is photo-graphy. Not as many people post photos. The green background is really pretty too. And the lighting is really good. I think you should take more pictures of flowers, because this one is beautiful! Anyway, you did a great job!
