Yes she is insane, but so are most of the characters in that series. One of the many reasons why I like DMWL.

Yes, indeed, they are pretty much all insane... except the main character and the guy who lost his right eye do not seem to be that insane, except the one with just one eye these days seems rather TOO calm considering their situation.
