Description Now you know what happens when I abuse the Smudge tool in Photoshop.

I really envy those people who can digitally paint perfectly, so I figured I'd try my hand at it.

Didn't come out as well as I'd like, but in the words of the EBS, "this is only a test".

In my eyes, I see nothing wrong with this. It looks perfect!

For a test, you pulled off the painting pretty decently. I really like how Tracer looks a bit more fuzzy than usual. Works out really well XD

Thanks. Still have a lot of work to do, though.

The shoes did come out decently though, so there's hope for me if I practice a lot.

That's about the only thing I can do if I want to improve.

Sadly there are no digital painting classes at my school.

Oh dear

Could traditional painting techniques be translated to digital?

In theory yes, given that you have the right program. In fact, now that I think about it, Corel Painter is custom-made for that kind of thing. Obviously it's not the same as acrylics or watercolor, but I've heard it can come pretty close.

I'd have to pay triple-digits, but I probably could.

I really like the way you colored and shaded everything here so smooth-like and the beach and trees in the background along with Tracer sleeping on the branch makes this all look so amazing and also cute at the same time

Your digital painting is still better then mine, and you can only get better from here if you keep trying!

Just looking at the picture is relaxing, i can imagine the sounds of oceans and birds to go along with the picture~

Actually, I'd say it makes for an interesting stylization of your art. Could be worth exploring a little more in the future.

I think you're use with the smudge tool came out with some sweet results!

It's got a look that's pretty satisfying. Soft on the eyes, and not that blurry.

I like the drawing itself. The idea of being at peace, and relaxing in a stress free environment is what comes to my head.

Nice going Eric!
