Ok, here's the thing:
since cuphead is is a run and gun game, and basically everyone gets damaged. If you payed attention to the game (not trying to sound rude), you'll notice that the ghosts in where chalice is in get damaged when parried but blind specter gets damaged by attack like the finger guns from cup and mug. Soooooo..... I thought, "if specter can get damaged by the cup bros attacks, then he could probably get attacked/damaged by other things." So yeah.
