Anthenian Ditto are found in Fawnglade Swamp. They are solitary, picky, and judgmental Pokémon that have a hard time expressing themselves, meaning that only the most perceptive and patient of trainers can raise them well. The majority have bad personalities and tend to think that people are stupid and deserve to be tricked or taken advantage of. This way of thinking originated from their ostracization from society which, although well-earned, only worsened their sour temperaments.

Although it’s common knowledge that they cannot speak, some can learn a word or two based on past experiences. They’re capable of laughing and imitating simple sounds people and Pokémon make. This is due to their adaptive nature and high intelligence. If won over, they make for excellent partners, but it’s rare to find a trainer with one in their team. This is due to the fact that most people never realise that they’ve met an Anthenian Ditto. These Pokémon hate being seen in their true form and spend most of their time transformed into something else. Sprinkling salt on them is the fastest way to make them revert back, but they despise it more than anything. This practice led to the convention of “salting” in Fawnbridge, which involves throwing salt at someone publicly in an attempt to shame them for their bad behaviour.

Always part ways with an Anthenian Ditto on good terms. They hold vendettas against those who have wronged them, often going to extreme lengths to enact revenge. They respond well to kindness and compliments, but insincere attempts to win them over are usually met with malicious payback.
