I hate religious crusades. Always messy, always taking things too far.
So her country is being invaded... because they're descended from troll/human hybrids? Something tells me there's more racism behind this than religion.

They are being invaded mostly to be converted (they follow a non theistic religion and it doesn't please the invaders) but racism surely has a part in it. They are considered almost animals because of their troll half.
