Back when the newspaper comics would come with a Tokyopop manga clip on the back page, I had collected several of the "Princess Ai of Ai-land" comic strips. If only I understood how awesome Ai was, I would have collected them right from the beginning. Alas...
Well anyway, after awhile I had wanted to draw what Ai's full outfit would look like from each strip, and that's what I did. In memory of Ai as well as improving the drawings I did, I decided to redraw her outfits. I do not dare show a before/after picture of my drawings...it gives me the shivers.

Well, here's Ai Outfit #4. I understand if the red does not look like a red but a subtle pink, but I don't have a deep red color among my colored pencils. Her hairstyle is close to the one that was featured. This was one of the tricky ones I partially had to make up: the comic strip only showed the top half of her, so I couldn't tell whether she was wearing a dress, skirt, or shorts, nor could I see her shoes. The first time I did this I gave Ai a simple red skirt with a black cord similar to that as her shoulder strap, but now I had decided against it and made her top into a dress. The socks I drew stayed the same, but I changed the chunky shoes I gave her into (hopefully) awesome boots. This was easy to draw, except for the crosses @.@
