- Is missing two fingers on his left hand; wears a prosthetic glove. False fingers still function as real fingers, just more stilted and delayed.

- Glasses are tied together rather than having to be stuck behind the ears. It keeps them from slipping off.

- Strong Texas accent. But only says "howdy" ironically.

- Divorced. Ex-wife's name is Sam. Current love interest is Porbeagle.

- Is critical of the Wardens but sides with them more than the Yarrow. Respects Warden Archer and his spec ops team, but not particularly friends with any of them. Empathizes with Ewing, is friendly with him, but stays out of his escapades with the Wardens.
