Ah winter, the favorite time of the year, at least for the kalacros named Blitzenn. While others may have shied away from the cold weather and the icy snow, Blitzenn enjoyed it. Often he could be seen rolling around in the fluffy white snow leaving 'snow angels' and similar imprints in the ground. A sign that Blitzenn had been there along with the many paw prints besides it. Too commonly you could see him emerging from the ground, the results of his snow angel formation all over his body as snow clung to him like a blanket.

Soft songs could be heard throughout the night like faint echoing, it was Blitzenn! The beast's echolocation resembled the sound of song and music, the jolly cheerful type often commonly heard in festivals and other merry events. The kalacros gave mighty flaps of his wings as he through the night fall, avoiding trees skillfully and his eyes kept on the ground. Lights from house could be seen along the dark shapes of others awake at the time celebrating the warmth and company their loved ones gave. It was a time to be sharing, a time to be warm. The cold gave valid excuses to be bundled up tight next to someone you cared. And yet there were some that were not partaking within the festivities, those who's homes were dark and without light.

Now now, that just wouldn't do.

The brown kalacros continued to fly, his great wings spread out with the feel of air underneath them, thinking of something he could do to help those alone. Such a time was best spent with others, not alone in one's home. If only they knew there were others needing another to spend the chilly time with. Closing his eyes, he pondered things for a moment before opening them, realizing hitting him like the fruit of a tree. He could let them know! Just your average, friendly, legend flying through the trees with the news of other local singles in their area. It would be fine right?

What could go wrong?

With mistletoe, holly and other festive plants in his paws, he made his way towards a home of someone he knew would take in lonely souls. Politely asking them as best as he could, he was relieved when they had agreed and walked into their home to set up decorations with their help. The halls were decked with boughs of holly, with a bundle of mistletoe over a doorway. It was a cheeky move but a festive one nonetheless. He had helped his friend gather and make food for the others, warm pots of hot chocolate, stuffed and roasted rabbits. Oh how their delicious smell was temptation for the poor kalacros but he trudged on. He was a man on a mission and he wouldn't fail.

Bidding them farewell for the moment, he swooped from their home and into the air, rising with each thrust of his wings forward. Hopping from dark home to home like an impatient cricket, he knocked on doors and sang a tune, inviting them to join him and many others for a good night out. To his relief and glee, many agreed and by the time he was done making his rounds, he flew by the house that had served as the rendezvous. A big warm smile on his face as he saw the lights on and the sound of laughter, music and glee slipping out.
