ooo boy I've been kinda neglecting dA lately orz I've drawn a few things but haven't rlly submitted them on here sorry guys :c
I'll probs be submitting the rest soon tho!!
but yee I've been reading this voltron fanfic lately called watercast and hhh it inspired me to do an au with txar in which Belle was an avian or whatever those and Sam was a merman ;v;

IM A SLUT FOR AUS OK. lemme tell y'all some of the story in this au. welp basically Sam's dumb ass was swimming around near the shore by some rocks looking for food and before he knows it he got himself tangled up in a fishing net that was stuck btwn some rocks. he manages to free the net and goes to shore so he's not a sitting duck for sharks. he's freaking out ofc and that's when Belle flies in. it only makes him freak out even more tho bc avians and merfolk are very weary of each other. merfolk think the avians will snatch them out of the water to eat them meanwhile most the avians think the merfolk will drag them into the water or lure them in with their signing like sirens and drown them. Belle however is the weirdo in her birb family. she's absolutely fascinated by the merfolk and bc of this tbh she's seen as a low key outcast. not even her parents accept her, they view her as an embarrassment and shit. the only ppl who rlly accept her for who she is are her sister and brother

bottom line is she manages to calm Sam down and helps him get freed from the net. he immediately escapes into the water to which Belle begged him to come back since that was the closest she had ever gotten to a merperson. he doesn't know why but smth causes Sam to come back to which he thanks her for helping him. after that they continuously meet in that same spot, with Sam helping Belle learn more and more about his ppl, and with this they end up becoming friends

eventuallyy they end up falling in love. ofc it's super hard tho with them living in 2 completely different worlds. so bc of that they start trying to figure out some way for them to be together. Belle eventually recalls hearing about a human oracle that would grant anyone who would come to her one wish, so long as their intentions were for the right reasons and true. Belle decides she wants to wish to be a mermaid bc like I previously mentioned most of the avians don't rlly accept her so she doesn't have much to lose. she starts reading everything she can about the oracle and speaking to everyone who might know smth about her. Finally, after probably months of looking, she gets the oracle's location. bottom line yadda yadda she finds the oracle and she determines Belle's intentions were for the right reasons. she tells her she'll be at the beach she and Sam always meet at the next day at a certain time and that then she will turn her into a mermaid. this happens without a hitch surprisingly and they're all happy now yayyy
