btw, i think it is a lotus fruit (seed capsule), not poppy...poppies have holes on the side, below the little "hat" and lotus has them on top and is much bigger.

Well, I guess - is it a lotus seed head? I notice now that it is a photomanipulation - did you use your own photos with this piece specifically in mind? Or did it start out as a bit of an accident?

Thanks a lot. It is a poppy seed head, if I am not mistaken, really huge one though. The idea to use this with another of my photos came later, but yeah, both stock photos are mine.....

Well, the colors and patterns work really well together. Often, the category of "photomanipulation" doesn't catch my eye, but this one has just the right amount of "pop" - a nice balance between dark and color, but none of them overbearing. Really good job.
