Description Kairen the riolu and potential candidates for his partner, Laelynn! I narrowed it down to a couple options but I'd be willing to hear more!

I made her shiny here but I'm not sure if she'll stay that way since Conley is already shiny in my other pmd story, but maybe I'll keep it that way since I have head canons on how other Pokemon perceive shiny Pokemon in different locations.

The adjustment period of being a Pokemon is not an easy one no matter the species, Laelynn is no exception. Kairen's gonna do his best to help her out the best he can, but it'll be difficult since most of these things are either species exclusive or second nature.

They all faired better then I would have, me I probably wouldn't have stopped screaming for an hour. Then after a breath I'd probably scream again

This is just them reacting to being a Pokémon after the initial reaction, trust me, they probably had a similar reaction to what yours would’ve been upon first realizing it.

I think the eevee is in denial about the situation still…

I like how the other two the Riolu offers to help but for the eevee she just has NO idea what to do, and is probably having a panic attack about seeing an eevee act like it’s bipedal

To be fair, that's a pretty freaky sight for anyone, not just him, to see. It's the equivalent of a deer standing on two legs in the Pokemon world.

I think the Treecko line will allow for the most expression in your in your style of drawing.

Treecko is actually the most difficult for me to make expressions for due to its unique mouth shape, but I’ll take that into consideration!

I will admit it’s difficult, but it’s large eyes lend you to a lot of variety in emotion, along with it’s arms to make various poses.
And it’s mainly due to their expressiveness that I like them.
With the eevee you have smaller eyes and less variety of poses due to them being quadrupedal. I have seen them done very well, mainly through the use of their ears to express the feelings.
And with Cyndaquil you would have next to nothing to use to express emotions with it’s eyes shut and limbs being so short.

You can take all this with a grain of salt, though. I just like the look of the entire body being used in an expression.

Yeah I gotcha, expressions with body language are important as well. Even so, Eevee and Cyndaquil could make for a fun challenge.

I would’ve added Chimchar and Pikachu to the list but- its long enough already and I didn’t feel like drawing them. So Treecko here is the only one really able to express themselves fully.

I'm a little confused by the first one. What is for balancing?
