Background:
Born to a Siberian husky breeder, Mistle was bred from two purebred huskies, both being competitive show dogs. Likewise, the pups were sold for a very pretty penny, and before she knew it Mistle was hauled off into a new home on Christmas day (hence her name) She was bought by a middle class man, who had been saving enough money to buy a puppy for his daughter and son for awhile now, and was ecstatic to hear that purebred huskies were up for adoption near his workplace.
The children were incredibly happy for their gift, as they basked her in treats and goodies, spoiling her rotten to the dismay of the mother, who hadn't been too eager on the idea of a puppy in the first place. She didn't dare argue however, knowing how happy her children were with the pup. However, those happy times soon fell into ruin as the family nearly lost all their money and life savings due to the father's work line becoming bankrupt. With no options left, they had considered selling Mistle, but after the daughter pleaded with them to keep her, they came with a decision.
They all decided that Mistle would live with a relative in Nome until they could get back on track financially, and thus they met with an uncle on dock, where a confused juvenile Mistle was forced to separate from the only family she had ever known. She yowled for them on the ferry and the way to town, heartbroken and confused as to what was happening. Days past, and Mistle began listening into her caretaker's calls while he went on the phone, hoping to hear the all too familiar laughter of her owner's laughter and joy.
That day hasn't come...
Even now that she is an adult, Mistle clings onto a hope they will return for her, so she attempts to remain strong, and that one night they will all sit by the fireplace at their beautiful, cozy home once again.
