Description This is one of the few all wooden constructed Pepper Pot / Light House Helter Skelters remaining in full working order here in the UK.

There's no photo manipulation on this photo just some minor cropping, as it was a foggy morning & there were Steam / Traction Engines fireing up to the side of it.

Wow. I live far away from the slightest possibility of seeing a lighthouse in life, so this is pure exotic to me. What a wonderfully caught mood. A lighthouse slide..! I've never thought that such a thong existed. I'd definetely visit the place if I had a chance.

I've always wondered what a helter skelter was... we don't have any over here, never had, I'm afraid. Thanks for sharing and showing this, nice moody picture too.

Personally I'm an old machinery fan but classic amusement rides are still fairly awesome, and their a whole lot more rare then old cars and aircraft since wood tends to rot and decay a lot faster then metal rusts.
