thank so much! i like horses too. wish they would like me back. it's a work in progress. and so is my horse riding skills. i have another picture of these semi-wild horses standing around a baby horse. maximum cuteness!
wow, can you ride well? and does she have her own horses..or just coincidental?

i used to be able to ride well, i did a camp every summer where we did rodeo-type things, and
*not to brag* but i was a blue ribbon barrel racer
oor.... the HORSE actually was the winner
but.. i stayed on! lol
nah, she doesnt have a horse.. (though they may get one some day i hear)
but... we did mission work with her family there last march--thats how i met her, cause a group from my school stayed at her house---
and there were these horses that just kinda roamed around one of the villages we worked in..
they were really thin though..

lol
barrel racing..
its where,
theres a line of barrels out in the riding ring
and you weave the horse in between them
and back through
another set up has the barrels in a clover, or, in the shape of a triangle (a barrel at each point) and you have to ride around each barrel in a certain pattern, and then back
its all timed
pretty exciting stuff

i like this, it's pretty cool .....dunno what you're moments of freedom were, but to me, the thorns and the white horse somehow symbolize jesus and what he did so that we could be free (plus this horse looks pretty unconstrained and liberated
) just my weird interpretation though....

i do like what you wrote! it's more what happened at the places these pictures where taken, but i thought that the objects themselves also reflect the concept quite good.
picture on the left relates to me becoming financially independent (haha)
picture on the right was a trust/faith exercise of total surrendering.
it's a bit cryptic, i know

no, not cryptic...really cool, i can do even more imagining now, and create new ideas too (that's what's great about these kind of pieces!)
