I hope so too. The use of 'wave distortion' in Photoshop is a tricky business that requires great care and aesthetic judgement in the choice of parameters. I know, having tried it several times.

My feeling is that it's a 'dry' scene like a small cliff or steep slope, rendered as if reflected in water.
On reflection I think it may actually be a photo of muddy water falling over a weir underneath a bridge and the intention may have been to make it look like something else. that's the kind of thing I like to do quite a lot.

I'm not an artist, so my opinion is worth about .00002 cents of imaginary currency.
But after reading what you and others see and the differing opinions, I've decided that what makes an artist "great" (my lame opinion only) is the ability to do something like this piece that your mind perceives to be one thing, but someone else sees something different at the same time.
I'm sure there's some term for it, but I have no clue what it's called.
And after reading your description and taking a look at the picture again...yeah, I can see that too.
So yeah, in my opinion, Wlkr hit the ball out of the park on this one.
