I think the one weakness of the picture is not knowing whether or not the panties are supposed to be real or just painted on. I'm assuming she's actually wearing them because there is shading on the inner buttocks to suggest otherwise, in which case it would help in the future to make sure the material sticks out just a little bit from the skin, instead of laying completely flat against her skin.
Otherwise, though, it's a very lovely piece, albeit dark in theme. (I get more the sense of a slave than assassin).

Except for the ring on the right hand second joint. that is not a slave, that is years or training and devotion to the job to get close enough to to finish the job and be gone..
the footfalls of a slave are hushed and quickly forgotten all the better to gain access to a target....[IMhO]

If you really want to make a case based on the ring it should be noted that in many cultures consorts (who were often slaves) were frequently dressed more lavishly than the average woman, and in some cases more so than the headwoman/wife of a house. The fact that she wears the ring in the male subject's presence only further suggests that the assassination is being attempted by a woman who has been forced into a relationship of sorts by circumstance (possibly even a forced engagement/marriage when considering she wearing the ring on her left ring finger, which is the finger a spouse or betrothed wears their ring on).
I'm not really sure why you felt the need to contradict/tell me what impression I should be getting.

I'd say her clothing was never fully inspected, which would deny the slave theory. That ring is a weapon, not an ornament. Took me a while to realize it but it has a tiny needle which is glinting to make it easier for us to spot. She obviously had planned to use it for the kill long before she came here.
This is just my speculation, but if she did play the role of slave they'd most likely of taken it from her, and any other ring given to her wouldn't help her with the task at hand.

The "needle" doesn't look anything like a needle. More like a flash of light off the ring. Assuming it is some protrusion from the ring, at best it would be a spike that would not be overlooked unless the woman was free. Spikes are/were commonly associated with jewelry for consorts/slaves and would far more easily be overlooked by the target and guards if she had long be in a subservient position.
As with the other one, I don't see why you feel it necessary to tell me what I should or shouldn't see. I'm sure there will be plenty of other impressions different from either or ours; do you intend to jump in and tell them what they should see as well?

I never intended to imply that my perception of it is the one truth, but rather no one had mentioned the little prick protruding from the ring. The way the artist made it so obvious I can't agree that it isn't important. The title is "Assassination", and here we see that little thing as the only possible tool of death in the shot, aside from butt suffocation or nails. I meant to add details that others hadn't seem to of noticed, in order to both object the theory of slave, and give them one more detail to consider on the matter when they make their next comment.
If all you have further to say is more bouts of defensive statements that disregard anything I say as being impossible, the very thing you seem to see in my comment, then I shan't reply again.

Funny how you say you weren't trying to push your perception, and then turned around in the same paragraph and admitted that's exactly what you were doing.
