I think the piece sort of works against itself. The woman's shape and colour distracts from the sunset which I would assume is meant to be the focus, given the title.
Would like to have seen more vibrance of colour in the sun.

You must be joking. The focus is obviously on the woman despite the name, and I assume this picture will soon be featured in his comic, too, so it would make sense that the person in the picture is the one your eyes should be drawn to. I personally think the composition is brilliant and the contrast between the light and dark works really well.
