Flails were awesome, on of my favorite medieval weapons is triple flail!

Claymores and greatswords will always be my favorites, flails are awesome though, especially when you hear the sound they make when swung.

Swords were definitely the most lethal melee weapons, but maces Β were more effective against heavily armoured opponents, you could crush their shields and helmets with on blow.

Oh, most definitely, but a greatsword was so brutal they were often banned from tourneys because there were not gauntlets or helmets that could resist their blows.
