This monster is based on Oritatami-nyudo, a monk-like Yokai which dwells in boxes, then pops out like a jack-in-the-box to frighten them. In his normal form (left), he shoots lasers which cause jack-in-the-boxes, flowers, clowns, and doves to pop out of whatever the lasers hit. In his Surprise form (right), he makes knives, missiles, hammers, spears, pillars of fire, wrecking balls, and other traps pop out of whatever the lasers hit. In battle, he wields a pair of scythes.
