The following is a map of Earth at the outset of the year I was born. Coming off the back of the Cold War, the year 1999 was the end of a millennium and the transition from a pre-digital age and pre-terror age. The 21st century marked Earth's worst crises, Climate Change, the War on Terror, the Covid-19 Pandemic, to an observer in 1999 these possibilities seemed far off, yet in 2021 as of this map's posting these crises appear to be worsening or petering out with substantially negative effects on human civilization.
