ゴジラ The 6,500 fans who packed into Hall H for the two-and-half-hour Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures panel knew they would be getting highly anticipated first looks at Pacific Rim, Man of Steel, and The Hobbit. But after the Pacific Rim panel, Legendary chief Thomas Tull dropped a bombshell on the Comic-Con crowd: Godzilla. The camera cut to black, we heard the distinctive Godzilla scream, and then got a straightforward look at Godzilla — no bashful game of hide-the-monster for this project. The creature had the distinctive ridge of scales along its back, and its head looked a bit like a giant snapping turtle — which, believe me, was far more terrifying to look at than it sounds. ゴジラ [link] Opens May 16 2014!Related content

What did the dead insect like monster look like?

The camera panned over a giant,massive, multi-limbed monstermonstrous figure, curled up and seemingly dead on the ground, fires burning around it. At first, I thought this was Godzilla...Still not sure what it was?

What was the body like? Was it long and centipede like or more like a beetle? Did you see what color it was? I've heard that it was black with some yellow.

It was like a giant centipede creature with many arms and legs... I was standing to the right of the screen! With lots of smoke and dust,it was hard to see any color!

I actually don't think the clip was part of the movie...I think Edwards wanted to show us the type of Kaiju film he will put together.At least that's what everyone in the room was talking about!

Jean Reno , who met Takarada when promoting the 1998 movie, said that he and Takarada promised that they'd work together in a new Godzilla film. So who knows.
Some fans I talked to at G-fest yesterday said that it would be cool seeing Haruo Nakajima in the new movie too as a cameo. He was Godzilla in the 1954 movie and some of the sequels in the 60s and 70s.

Godzilla looks more like his original 1954 look. I heard the roar was the original 1954 roar, and I hope that roar is kept for the new movie. Why? Well many think if the whining roar from the 50s and 70s. The original roar is very guttural and deep. The 60s roar is high pitched.

I really thik Hans Zimmer should score this new movie as he is the only composer who would match Akira Ifukube's music to give Godzilla the epic scale the movie deserves.
