I was just my pencil's test. I didn't planed anything in this picture. The first thing is that it isn't a wolf, just some alike creature. i wanted to add to this more contrast but it looked a lot different that oryginal.

This is very nice! I love the fur texture.
I really like the texture in the background too. Very nice. The only things I could really suggest to improve a little on is making its ear more distinct. Right now it looks like it doesn't have one it's blending in with all the neck/side of the face fluff. The second thing I would suggest is add a bit more darkness to the bg and the darker parts of the wolf. Like in the fur, the nose, etc to make it stand out a bit more. More contrast basically. Maybe add some darkness into the eye so you can add a highlight. It will help to give it more life.
Overall I like this piece. It's very nicely drawn. Keep up the lovely work!

Well pretty much looked like a wolf to me except the eye, and you said nothing in the description that it wasn't so I assumed since the face is canine. And ok, it was just a suggestion.
