Watercolor 30x40 cm. Colors used: cadmium yellow ( I love you so much, Cady
), cadmium red, quinacridone red, venetian red, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, phthalo green. Also, I used some very fine sandpaper to help with the mist.

The rocks look perfect. I can tell that they are rocks cause of how you placed the shading and light. The rainbow stands out nicely against the stones. I really like this piece so much, I would like to buy a print someday, but only until money isn't so tight. *HUGS*

Etsy.com is a lot easier to set up than DA's shops. I have an Etsy.com account to sell my artwork as prints, but you have to pay a little bit for publishing your display ad for the shop. I haven't gotten any sales yet, but I sure do hope so someday.

I really like it, it's great! The trees are very well painted, and the mist very well done. The rocks have a lovely, primal feel to them and the brids flying out there are a lovely touch! The greens of the trees and reds in the rock harmonise well too, without jarring (hard to do with red and green!).
I would, perhaps have had the rainbow much more subtle and spread out. Oooo maybe, if you were feeling in an abstract mood, you could have gently shaded the birds in the rainbow colours, as they are echoing the rainbows shape, and used that instead of the overt rainbow...? Just my thoughts though. Overall I very much like it

You are right about the rainbow, to me it looks somewhat stapled on. I think it should have been far more airy and diffusive. Unfortunately, it was the very first thing I painted in. There is a good tip when painting things that ought to be interpreted as transparent, that one should paint in the very darkest tones of the painting first, just to have a reference.

I don't know how the cliff's surface would behave around a rainbow, but the colors do have a nice harmonious quality to them.
