New original character - Athemyst Wintersburn, nicknamed Alf.

Alf's name came from Amethyst (February birthstone) as he was born on February 19. His surname Wintersburn carried the meaning of the stream that melted snow in wintertime. This gentleness, and touch of warmth in his surname described his personality, and his smile well. Alf was a kind wizard who seek healing in today's world - a broken world full of depression and anxiety.

The background of becoming a wizard was simple. There was nothing called "born a wizard". Everyone has the power to become a wizard if you have the sense of creativity, intuition or a heart to believe in the unbelievable. Hence, people usually became wizards around the time they had their personalities settled (about 20s). While magic can come into your life, it also goes if people gave up/no longer believe in them. Some great wizards invented grand but terrible spells chose to exile themselves, letting magic die in their souls. Day by day, as their magic faded, they would see less magical creatures and objects. Finally, they would only see their magical familiars talking to them, but they can't hear them. Till the end, they would see noting in the magical world. It was a process of immense pain and grief.

My motto for the story: magic is beside you, believe in it and you will see it.

Alf was just an university student studying Chemistry🧪 He remained so enthusiastic exploring things around him, about the stars, fantasy stories and draw pieces of art to make his imagination true. His friends liked him because he sees the world with a very different and even slightly strange pair of eyes. There on one day he was contacted by his current wizardry mentor to learn magic, and yes he did it without a second thought 😂

Alf made his own wand as a routine task for every new wizard to start their magical journey. The wand would stick with his for the rest of his life and reflects his strengths in the magical world - potion-making, astronomy and botany. Even in the wizard's world, Alf does not play by the rules (this genuinely drove his mentor mad). He invented a way to make potions by infusing the potion with the power brought by stars. This allows potions to be finished using only 1/10 of original time requires. But the down side was - the quality was very unstable. (I joked to my friends that those are radioactive potions XD)

On Alf's shoulder, it was his pet Bibi (because she tweeted like that). She was not a magical creature, just a bulbul Alf rescued in a stormy night.

A bit of his story:

Friend: Wow, is that amethyst. They look so cool.
Alf: Nope, it's silicon dioxide.
