Think of time travel working in the same manner as Dragon Ball Z or Avengers Endgame if you're not a watcher of Dragon Ball. XD

You can alter the timeline but it'll just result in a branched timeline/universe. It won't alter what happens in the main timeline.

This is to give the sense of there being more danger and risk in The Guardian-Verse instead of having The Flash act as a Deus Ex Machina. XD
