So if ya want some context as for why Itachi's in this pic and not just Sasuke, let's just say this takes place in My Guardian-Verse stories where, if you ask me...I've made a few dozen or so improvements. XD

As for why Naruto's there, well ya see, in The Guardian-Verse, Itachi made a choice that would greatly affect The Future of The Hidden Leaf Village, he spared Mikoto Uchiha, mostly due to the fact that she wasn't at The Uchiha Compound with Sasuke, the two were checking in on Naruto Uzumaki, The son of Mikoto's best friend, Kushina, even though there were reasons why Naruto couldn't be officially taken in by The Uchiha's. Mikoto did her best to care for her best friend's son. She did a pretty good job too.

Looong story made slightly shorter, Naruto's relationship with Sasuke and by extension, Itachi, who had also checked up on the boy a few times as well, is much better than it is in the show. Naruto and Sasuke are infact, like brothers (Still debating on whether or not they're actually reincarnations but I'm leaning towards No.) and thanks to Itachi's actions or inaction, Sasuke's fall into darkness is nowhere near as deep. Although after discovering that Danzo was responsible for all their problems, Sasuke foolishly attempted to kill Danzo himself when he had the chance, but he wasn't prepared for how tough the old geezer was and was forced to flee the village.

This only broke Mikoto's heart more, the fact that she now had two sons on the run, if not for Naruto it could have killed her. Naruto, having already learned about why Sasuke attempted to kill Danzo, makes a promise to Mikoto that he'll bring back Both Sasuke and Itachi and bring Danzo down, so that they can be a family again (When he says they he means Mikoto, Sasuke and Itachi, while he too thinks of them as family, he knows who his real parents are as Mikoto told Naruto about Minato and Kushina and Naruto due to his own insecurities, has a hard time accepting that Mikoto, Itachi and Sasuke consider him family despite it making him happy)

Thus that leads to Naruto going on a 3 year training trip with Jiraiya who takes him across the world to different places. One of which, being New York City, there Naruto meets The Guardians of Freedom, and for about 2 months, learns different things from them, like what it means to be a hero and the whole With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility stuff. It helps to give Naruto a wider view on things and the world around him.

When Naruto goes back to the Hidden Leaf and The 5 Elemental Nations, along the way Naruto starts looking for The Akatsuki Himself, in order to find Itachi, let's just say that this journey will have some...pretty interesting outcomes for the future.
