Say hello to a new template folks, been doing a lot of these lately...well memes anyway.
So this is pretty simple, do as the meme says, insert a sad scene that'd bring anguish to these characters.
I know it seems rather odd given all the character choices but I mostly made this one for myself featuring characters from my Guardian-verse fics.
I know some will question why Broly's there but if you've seen the DBS movie...you'll understand. If not...yer missing out and if you don't wanna see it, well I ain't gonna bother explaining it.
Yer free to use, no need to ask. Have fun.
Anyways Fave/Comment and Have An Awesome Day Everyone.

I'm tempted to have Avengers-Verse Zero say that infamous line at the end of the Aquanort Arc of Super Smash Bros. Rebirth due to what happens there.

Well, I'm torn between that and having Zero struggle to maintain his composure before ultimately breaking down in tears as Solaris attempts to comfort him. Of course, I should explain what happens at the end of the Aquanort Arc to provide context.
Remember how I said that Ciel has no memories of her past prior to the events of the Regenesis Arc when she reappears in Super Smash Bros.: Avengers World? Well, unlike most amnesia scenarios, Ciel is unable to regain her memories due to the Baby Phoenixes extracting them from her body as they possess and move Aqua out of the Keyblade Graveyard after she unintentionally taps into Lavos' residual energy from the final battle of the War of Creation and ends up transforming the Keyblade Graveyard into the Worlds of Light and Darkness (which doubles as the NEW version of the Avengers-Verse introduced in Super Smash Bros. Generations) in addition to creating Galeem and Dharkon from the residual energies of Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor Odinson, and Pinkie Pie (for Galeem) AND Sasuke, Rarity, Solaris, Malekith, and Hela (for Dharkon), with Ciel's extracted memories being subsequently converted into a Cyber-Elf version of herself (similar to X's Cyber-Elf form).
However, because of the severe head trauma her body received before her memories were extracted, Cyber-Elf Ciel ultimately spends the remainder of her existence from her rebirth in the Regenesis Arc up until the events of the Aquanort Arc slowly dying due to being made up of her dying memories, with Cyber-Elf Ciel's remaining time being halved after she expends her energy to help Aqua and Sora cleanse the Avengers of the darkness in their hearts and free them from their despair in the Dark Avengers Arc.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENaSo-β¦
This ultimately culminates in the events of the Aquanort Arc, where Cyber-Elf Ciel uses her remaining energy to help the reincarnated Avengers (Avengers No. 1-275) and their allies (Avengers No. 277-308 and Gorr, who isn't an Avenger at this point) cleanse Aqua of the darkness in her heart and finally free her from her despair at the cost of her life. Knowing her time is up, Cyber-Elf Ciel asks Aqua to protect the Avengers in the coming battles with Xehanort and Dr. Weil before reassuring the Avengers (Avengers No. 1-308) and Gorr that they will ultimately meet again one day even though she won't remember them and, in her final moments, kisses Zero after telling him that she will always love him before fading away as the Baby Phoenixes cry for their mother.

And now you know why I'm tempted to have Zero recite his infamous quote from Mega Man X4 after Cyber-Elf Ciel's death at the end of the Aquanort Arc. It may have been silly due to the cheesy voice acting, but given the context I want to use it for, it would be utterly heartbreaking since Zero just witnessed Cyber-Elf Ciel, the living memories of the only other woman he's ever loved, die before his eyes, effectively forcing him to relive the pain he felt when he lost Iris. It's made worse by the fact that, aside from the fact he's been reborn as a blank slate along with the rest of the Avengers, Zero doesn't even remember Iris due to Solaris erasing his memories of her while he was stripped for the parts used for Rainbow Dash's conversion into a human Reploid, so not only is Zero seeing his love interest's memories die while barely remembering her, he's experiencing a painful sense of deja-vu without knowing why. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, Ciel herself sheds a tear after the death of her Cyber-Elf despite being asleep at the time.
Also, while beating Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days had nothing to do with it, Xion's theme is essentially the theme of Cyber-Elf Ciel in the Avengers-Verse, with all three of her appearances being among the saddest moments in the saga of the Avengers-Verse (and there are a lot of those moments as it is).

Aside from her appearance in the Aquanort Arc, Cyber-Elf Ciel's other appearances in the Avengers-Verse are during the Dark Avengers Arc of Super Smash Bros. Rebirth and the End Times Arc of Super Smash Bros.: Avengers World.
In the Dark Avengers Arc, Cyber-Elf Ciel plays a crucial role in Aqua and Sora successfully cleansing the darkness in the Avengers' hearts and freeing them from their despair, even though it halves her remaining lifespan in the process. During the cleansing process, Cyber-Elf Ciel tells the Avengers that Kaguya, Master Hand, Goku Black, Zamasu, Ultron, and Sigma genuinely reformed during the War of Creation, and only slaughtered the Avengers-Verse refugees in the Regenesis Arc in a misguided attempt to erase the sins of their past by wiping the slate clean because they were convinced they would never be forgiven for the crimes, adding that they took no pleasure in doing so. Cyber-Elf Ciel then tells the Avengers how Kaguya, Master Hand, Black, Zamasu, Ultron, and Sigma spent the years since the Avengers-Verse Refugee Massacre watching over and protecting the World of Trophies from Organization XIII as penance for what they did to them that day since they felt that's what the Avengers would have wanted them to do...before proceeding to reveal the existence of Starly Belle Uchiha (the daughter of Kaguya and Zamasu) to the Avengers and how Dr. Weil stole her away from her family before forcing her to watch them die at their hands in the Innocence Lost Arc, which is ultimately what causes the Avengers to come to their senses as they break under the weight of the sins they committed in their quest for a revenge that ultimately wasn't worth it, with Solaris being particularly devastated by Cyber-Elf Ciel's revelations about Kaguya's genuine reformation, the existence of Starly Belle Uchiha, and how she and the rest of the Avengers played into Dr. Weil's hands by killing Kaguya, Master Hand, Black, Zamasu, Ultron, and Sigma while being completely unaware that her younger sister was forced to watch her family die at their hands and destroyed her innocence in the process.
As for the End Times Arc, Cyber-Elf Ciel makes her final appearance while Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor Odinson, and Pinkie Pie are reconciling and merging with their inner demons that make up Galeem's being, as it's revealed that the Baby Phoenixes salvaged an incredibly small fragment of their mother's energy (I should note that the reason the Baby Phoenixes consider Ciel to be their mother is because Universe 7 Cyclops conditioned the Baby Phoenix he acquired in his quest for redemption during the War of the Worlds 2 Arc to see her as such while he was nurturing it...and Universe 7 Cyclops sent this Baby Phoenix into the far future and to the Keyblade Graveyard in his dying moments so that Aqua could find it and give it to Kaguya, instructing the Baby Phoenix to condition its sibling that Aqua would give to Ciel to view her as their mother as well) back in the Aquanort Arc. However, said fragment is so small that Cyber-Elf Ciel is only able to manifest her physical form while the energy barrier being generated by Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor Odinson, and Pinkie Pie's fusion with their respective components of Galeem is up...and once that energy barrier sustaining her is gone, so is she. With the little energy she has left and knowing her time is truly up, Cyber-Elf Ciel spends her final moments informing Ciel (who accompanied Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor Odinson, and Pinkie Pie to their battle with Galeem) about their shared past and the history of the Avengers and reveals to her reincarnated self everything that Dr. Weil has done over the years and how he desires nothing less than for every living being in existence to suffer a living death under his rule, to which Ciel tells her Cyber-Elf counterpart that she and the rest of the Avengers won't let that happen. With the knowledge that the Avengers are in good hands with her reincarnated self, Cyber-Elf Ciel has the Baby Phoenixes empower Ciel as she asks her reincarnated self to tell Zero once more that she will always love him before finally passing on to the afterlife as she uses up the last of her energy, with Cyber-Elf Ciel's death being hammered home by the manifestation of her physical form dissolving into ash (think...well, any of the heroes who got killed by Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet-powered finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War)...which, in a cruel twist of irony, eerily foreshadows what Dr. Weil does to almost every hero in existence as the Final Incursion reaches its end (again, think Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet-empowered finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War...actually, don't think here, because that's EXACTLY what happens).

I should note that Xion's theme isn't going to be exclusively used for Cyber-Elf Ciel's appearances. I'm still working on all the details, but I do plan to use Xion's theme in the Last Avengers Arc during Master Xehanort, Ansem SOD, and Xemnas' apparent* deaths at the end of the fight between Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor Odinson, Pinkie Pie, Ciel, and Sora against Captain America (who's possessed by Master Xehanort), Iron Man (who's possessed by Ansem SOD), Aqua (who's possessed by Xemnas), Batman, and Dr. Strange after the X-Blade is successfully forged from this clash of 7 lights and 13 darknesses, with Master Xehanort and Ansem SOD's apparent deaths being bittersweet as they admit to Aqua that they don't regret their actions in the slightest, but also admit that they had no intention of coming back to torment the Avengers any further after being defeated for good in the Ultimate Evil Arc of Super Smash Bros. Generations as they felt the Avengers earned their victory that day, and leave the daunting task of defeating Dr. Weil (who Master Xehanort and his other incarnations despise due to Dr. Weil being more of a monster than any of them in addition to believing his actions have disrupted the balance between light and darkness by shifting it too far in favor of darkness) in the Avengers' hands.
Xemnas' apparent death, on the other hand, is an outright tearjerker for reasons I'll be happy to discuss with you if you're interested.
* - I say apparent since Chrono Reflect Celestia secretly revives Master Xehanort, Ansem SOD, and Xemnas, whose hearts continue to reside within Captain America, Iron Man, and Aqua until their deaths in the Final Story Arc.

I've actually been meaning to discuss the Avengers-Verse version of Xemnas with you for a while now, if only because he's going to be the Xehanort incarnation who arguably has the most focus and is also the one who receives the most character development as a result of his origins.
See, Xemnas and Ansem SOD aren't just the Nobody and Heartless of Xehanort, but they're also the Nobody and Heartless of Terra, or more accurately the Nobody and Heartless of the amnesiac Terra-Xehanort. However, where Ansem SOD is more or less unchanged from his canon self due to being slightly more Xehanort than Terra, Xemnas is more of an Anti-Villain in the Avengers-Verse due to being slightly more Terra than Xehanort. This is made especially apparent in regards to Aqua and Ventus, who Xemnas sees as the keys to helping him remember his past, but more importantly he sees them as his friends. In fact, Xemnas' connection to Terra gets exploited over the course of the Avengers-Verse by Terra himself and Chrono Reflect Celestia, with Terra's Lingering Will influencing Xemnas during the Regenesis Arc by guiding him to an unconscious Aqua after her accidental creation of Galeem, Dharkon, and the Worlds of Light & Darkness while Chrono Reflect Celestia subsequently guides Xemnas to the Chamber of Waking in Castle Oblivion where Ventus is sleeping in the same arc, with Chrono Reflect Celestia also being responsible for Xemnas finding and rescuing Aqua from the Realm of Darkness prior to her debut in the Chrono Rebirth Arc.

That's not to say that Xemnas is a saint, mind you. Even though Xemnas does care about Aqua and Ventus just as much as Terra does, his definition of friendship is twisted, and any good he does prior to the End Times Arc is either the result of being influenced by Terra and Chrono Reflect Celestia or his definition of good, which isn't exactly good in everyone else's eyes.
While he does lets Aqua leave Organization XIII at the end of the Regenesis Arc with little more than a warning to be careful while carrying out her experiment to see if people like her and the Avengers can be saved from darkness and despair and deliberately doesn't tell the rest of the Organization that she's left them or that he's found Ventus, Xemnas doesn't care if Aqua succeeds in her mission to save herself and the Avengers, who he outright declares war on in the Aqua & Xehanort Arc in retaliation for them trying to kill Aqua to claim the Soul Stone back in the Infinity Quest Arc (which Aqua only survived due to switching herself out with a Replica containing a piece of her soul), and is unable to understand why she would risk her life for the Avengers since they will try to kill her once they discover her role in the Avengers-Verse Refugee Massacre and that she's only setting herself up for heartbreak when they inevitably die even when Aqua comes to the Avengers' aid against Organization XIII despite not fully being recovered from the injuries she sustained in her journey back to the World of Trophies and her encounter with Omega at the beginning of that arc (which Aqua would have died from had Xemnas not found her and brought her to Kaguya, Master Hand, Goku Black, Zamasu, Ultron, and Sigma so they could nurse her back to health), with his open response to her declaring herself an Avenger being to subtly remind Aqua that she's eventually going to have to face the consequences of her actions before retreating with the rest of Organization XIII (I say open response because Xemnas secretly visits Ventus in the Chamber of Waking after Aqua openly severs her ties with Organization XIII, where he laments her decision to side with the Avengers since he knows they're going to bring her nothing but suffering and misery).
Xemnas' twisted definition of friendship is made even more apparent in the Aquanort Arc after Aqua completely succumbs to darkness and despair and rejoins Organization XIII in the wake of the Avengers' deaths, as he actively attempts to stop Earth's Mightiest Heroes from saving Aqua during their fight with her in the Realm of Darkness by calling the Avengers out for causing Aqua nothing but pain and misery ever since she met them while assisting Aqua in her physical and psychological assault against her former friends and states that he intends to make sure that Aqua never has to experience the pain of losing everything ever again by protecting her from those who embrace light. Even after the Avengers succeed in saving Aqua from her darkness and despair, Xemnas continues trying to "protect" her from suffering the pain of losing everything that comes with embracing light during the Realm of Darkness Arc, where he tries to tempt Aqua into embracing darkness once again by telling her that embracing light has caused her nothing but suffering over the years and that he only wants to keep her and Ventus safe from that pain, which he can't do if Aqua continues defying Organization XIII.

In the end, Avengers-Verse Xemnas is a complicated character who is neither entirely good or evil. This is ultimately hammered home with his apparent death in the Last Avengers Arc, where Xemnas is entirely silent while Master Xehanort and Ansem SOD admit to Aqua that they don't regret what they've done in their quest for universal balance but have accepted their defeat and entrust the Avengers with the task of defeating Dr. Weil for good. This doesn't go unnoticed by Aqua, who asks Xemnas why he has nothing to say...to which Xemnas says that he doesn't know what to say even though he knows that (as far as he's aware) this will be the last time he'll ever get to talk to her. What follows is a rather heartbreaking final conversation between Aqua and Xemnas where they reflect on their history as Aqua finally comes to see Xemnas as a friend after learning that he truly cared about her and Ventus the entire time and how his only regret was that he put his own desires over their happiness...something that Aqua realized too late since (as far as she knows) this is the last time she'll see Xemnas, who reassures Aqua by telling her that he'll always live on in her heart (not realizing that he actually will live on in Aqua's heart due to Chrono Reflect Celestia's intervention) before fading away. Xemnas' apparent death is made even worse by the fact that he creates an illusion of the Land of Departure, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua's original self during their final conversation, with Xemnas and Aqua sitting beside Terra and Aqua's past self to hammer home how much they've both changed over the years...and Xemnas' apparent death becomes even more devastating for Aqua once she learns that Terra and Ventus were among the heroes who perished during the Final Incursion 5 years ago after Dr. Weil used the Infinity Gauntlet in his failed attempt to eliminate any possible threat to his rule.
Speaking of the Last Avengers Arc, I've revised the battle that forges the X-Blade to be less convoluted. Originally, the battle was just Naruto Uzumaki, Rainbow Dash Rivera, Zero, Thor Odinson, Pinkamena "Pinkie" Diane Pie, Phoenix (Ciel), and Sora Vs. Captain America (Steve Rogers)/Master Xehanort, Iron Man (Tony Stark)/Ansem SOD, Batman (Bruce Wayne), Dr. Strange, and Aqua/Xemnas, with the components of Galeem (Naruto, Rainbow Dash, Zero, Thor, and Pinkie Pie) fulfilling both the light and darkness quota. However, I've changed it to be a little more straightforward, so the battle that forges the X-Blade is now Naruto Uzumaki, Rainbow Dash Rivera, Zero, Thor Odinson, Pinkamena "Pinkie" Diane Pie, Phoenix (Ciel), and Sora (the 7 Lights) Vs. Captain America (Steve Rogers)/Master Xehanort, Iron Man (Tony Stark)/Ansem SOD, Batman (Bruce Wayne), Dr. Strange, Sasuke Uchiha, Rarity Belle Dostoevskaia, Solaris, Malekith the Accursed, and Hela (the 13 Darknesses). As to why the rest of the Avengers aren't involved in the battle that forges the X-Blade, Sonic, Captain Universe (Carol Danvers/XANA), Goku, Captain Anti-Universe (Tamara Devoux), and Starlight Glimmer are busy fighting Copy-X (who was killed by Hyperion, Deadpool, Juri Han, Maudalina "Maud" Daisy Pie, and Vegeta back in the End Times Arc) on Lyoko (which Dr. Weil has converted into a larger version of Cyberspace and has been using as a means of torturing the citizens of Neo Arcadia) with the help of Cyber-Elf Ciel (who ended up on Lyoko after her death in the End Times Arc) so that the rest of their friends can bring them home, a task made more complicated by the fact that the remaining Avengers have to split their efforts between fighting Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes) and keeping the Supercomputer active long enough to bring Sonic's team back to Earth.

EternalCyclops In reply to WOLFBLADE111 [2019-05-10 18:45:54 +0000 UTC]
I should stress that the expanded Organization XIII (which, aside from the 13 Darknesses and Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), also includes Young Xehanort, Xigbar, Saix, Vanitas, Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene, Lavos, and Knull), despite being the primary "antagonists" of the Last Avengers Arc, are actually helping the Avengers by forcing them to confront their personal demons and the ideological rift that's been present ever since the War of Creation in a battle meant to not only forge the X-Blade, but give what's left of Earth's Mightiest Heroes proper closure on the War of Creation so they can focus on defeating Dr. Weil. The only real villain in the Last Avengers Arc is Copy X, but his unexpected return gives Mega Man X (who goes to Lyoko along with Fluttershy in order to help Sonic's team get past Copy X) the opportunity to finally destroy his dark reflection for good. By the end of the Last Avengers Arc, the remaining Avengers are fully reunited and their bond has been restored, and they're all the stronger for it.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=etcAgzβ¦
However, the Avengers' reconciliation and reunion wasn't without a cost...and I don't mean Master Xehanort, Ansem SOD, and Xemnas (who survive their apparent deaths thanks to Chrono Reflect Celestia). In order to keep Dr. Weil from using it to torture the citizens of Neo Arcadia any further, Cyber-Elf Ciel decides to enter a code into the Tower used to bring Sonic, Carol Danvers/XANA, Goku, Tamara Devoux, and Starlight Glimmer back to the Worlds of Light and Darkness that will completely destroy Lyoko and keep it that way as long as Dr. Weil is alive. Unlike Sonic, Carol/XANA, Goku, Tamara, and Starlight, however, Cyber-Elf Ciel cannot leave Lyoko due to being a deceased Cyber-Elf, so she's effectively sacrificing her very existence to undermine Dr. Weil. Knowing she can never come back after this, Cyber-Elf Ciel holds Sonic between the real world and Lyoko in an unconscious state so she can say good-bye to him for the last time. If my use of I, 0 - Your Fellow didn't give it away, Cyber-Elf Ciel's final conversation with Sonic is just as much of a tearjerker as her death in both the Aquanort Arc and the End Times Arc, mainly because of how she admits to Sonic that even though she knows she's lived far longer than she should have, she wants to continue living, but ultimately accepts the fact that she has to erase herself with Lyoko in order to lessen Dr. Weil's wrath on the citizens of Neo Arcadia. In the end, Cyber-Elf Ciel launches her kill-code (the code in question is Code: Ciel X Zero) to delete Lyoko and erases herself from existence, but not before equipping Sonic with a special pair of gloves created by Chrono Reflect Celestia that will allow him to harness the powers of Galeem, Dharkon, and the rest of the Avengers Machine as well as asking him and the rest of the Avengers to defeat Dr. Weil not for the sake of justice or revenge, but because it's the right thing to do and to give everyone else a chance to live happily in a peaceful world that isn't surrounded by war, death, and ruin, which is all she ever wanted in the first place.
