This scene is a prequel to This: Finding The Source of The Hunger

After escaping the AIM Facility, this Zombie Spider-Man made his way to the city, managing to avoid being caught by The GoF who responded to the AIM Facilities Distress Signal (Something not often seen from AIM is them calling for Help.) and making his way out of the forest.

At least he assumed he wasn't followed.

And thus a fight between Strider Hiryu and Zombie Spider-Man commenced, with the Strider proving too much for the Zombified Webhead, help arrives in the form of Green Lantern who restrains The Zombie Spider-Man, stating that if they want to find a cure or better yet, the cause of the virus responsible for the various zombified realities, they need one alive.

Also yes I based this off of that one scene in one of the UMVC3 Trailers.
