Dreadmane, even the mention of his name conjures up unsettling images for both the Mavericks and the Maverick Hunters. Designed to cause fear in his enemies the makers of him and his brother, Soulrazer, did too good a job and now they cause uneasy feelings on both sides!

Dreadmane, despite his visage is a Maverick Hunter and definitely a good guy. He has a penchant for going a bit overboard with his hunting duties and this is another source of unease for both parties involved. He revels in causing his opponent to suffer, sometimes needlessly, but he has a reputation to maintain.

His attacks along with his brothers actually drain the energy from their opponents. Every time the enemy is hit with an energy blast from Dreadmane's attacks it leeches the power from their cores and feeds it back to Dreadmane. Making him get stronger as his opponent withers away. The scary thing is that Dreadmane can leech power from not only reploids but living things as well. Though he does the latter only if it is absolutely necessary and usually only to plant life.

At times the Maverick Hunters have had to put both him and his brother under observation and even quarantine them at some points when they have been in contact with virulent mavericks. They have not gone maverick however and some theorize that the energies they harness and wield actually burn away any amount of corruption that their systems might experience. Still the Maverick Hunters are playing it safe.
