You know, I really wanted to do another WolfWalkers fanart, but at the same time, I wanted to combine some other ideas and strangely enough, I noticed something between the two main characters of the movie and two of my own OCs.
So, let me begin by showing you my OCs Naia and Tundra, two wolf sisters (okay, half wolf sisters) and on the right we have Mebh and Robyn from WolfWalkers (who, spoiler alert, become wolf sisters) and there are some similarities I noticed lately.
For one thing, the sister thing. Second, each one of two has blue and green eyes. While it's obvious they don't have the same tone of green (emerald, grass green?) and blue (sky and ice?), their fur colors indicate they look similar to one another.
It isn't just their looks, with Tundra and Mebh resembling one another and Naia and Robyn looking close to one another (hey, the facial markings are suprisingly similar), but personality wise, these two pairs seem to resemble closer one another.
How so? To those who have seen the movie, we know Mebh as the wild and mischievous girl and Robyn as a peaceful one who tries to cope with her new wolf power. Take a look at Tundra and Naia. Tundra has that playful and mischievous side and is the most wolf one in the litter. In contrast to her, Naia seems to be that peaceful and sweet wolf-looking female who comes the closest to being a dog.
While it's true that the ages are reversed (Tundra being older than Naia while Robyn is older than Mebh), it's surprisingly uncanny. I won't say the movie was inspired by my OCs because that's a nonsense. I cannot say my OCs were based on them either. I created Tundra and Naia back in 2016 and the movie was released in 2020 (entering production in 2018).
For the end, I just toyed with some backgrounds and merged Alaskan snow forest and Irish fall forest together for the sake of innovation. I do wonder how these four would get along?
