Description
Battling spies, saboteurs, nazis, and anti-American super bad guys of all sorts during World War II, it's the Invaders.
The core team of Captain America his sidekick Bucky, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and The original Human Torch with his ward Toro, fought the good fight the entire war. Often joined for a time by many other 1940s costumed heroes like The Whizzer, Miss America, Spitfire, Union Jack, and the Blazing Skull (among others), they were the first notable major hero team for the Marvel Universe.
They set the stage for teams like The Avengers. Later teams maybe bigger, but no one punched nearly as many nazis as The Invaders.
Seriously, though....this team has a suspiciously high number of DUDES THAT ARE LITERALLY ON FIRE.
