Description
This is an Apo fractal that I made for the Apo Challenge 150 being held by `f--l--A--r--k . It's hard to believe that these have been going on for over 2 years!! What a wonderful thing for the fractal community. Thank you, Stan, for the hard work and perseverance at keeping this fun, interesting and educational Challenge going for so long. It's a wonderful way to get the fractal community involved, learning and interacting! The Rules for Challenge 150 were as follows:
Way Back
This week's challenge is going to feature just a few variations. The trick here is that you must choose the direction you will take. Your fractal must include the linear variation, and only one of the three options to follow: bubble, hyperbolic, or eyefish. You have free reign over the transforms this week, but are limited to using only the linear variation and the other of your choice. Some amazing fractals have been created over the years with just two variations, and now I'm looking forward to seeing yours!
Quick recap:
Only two variations allowed.
Linear is required.
Choose one from: bubble, hyperbolic, eyefish.
No other restrictions on transforms or limits.
Final FX is allowed, within the limits laid out above.
Here's the parameters:

Thank you, but your link doesn't take me to anything but a "Responsive Web Development" site, no image there. And it's the same comment you left before with the same link that doesn't go anywhere.Β Are you a spammer?

Peggi, Absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to attempt crocheting the pattern. Don't think I could capture the beauty here.

Thank you very much! I'm delighted you enjoyed it! However, I think if you tried to crochet this, you'd probably go bonkers pretty quick. But, who knows, with a variegated yarn, you just might get close.

Thank you very much, Barbara! I'm so pleased you liked it! I had a lot of fun trying my hand at another Apo Challenge. It has been awhile since I've done one. I appreciate the Good Luck wishes, my friend. As it turns out, I was runner-up, which is pretty darn good considering the competition that is in these Challenges. Lots of very good Apoists!

It was a great entry!
The weeks pass so quickly. Sometimes I start something for the challenge and then don't get around to finish it before the deadline or I don't even have time for it at all. I am happy that it has been going on for so long already and like to participate when ever I can.

Thanks so much, Gerda! I was really happy to be able to take part in another Apo Challenge. It had been too long since I did one. I think the Challenges were still in the 60s that last time I submitted an entry. Hard to believe it was over a year ago. Stan does such a great job with the Apo Challenge. I hope it lasts for at least another 150 more!

What a lovely thing to say, Sylvia! Thank you so much for the beautiful compliment! I was really glad to take part in another Challenge. I know the competition will be tough. I have been following them every so often. I have been very impressed with the talent of the artists who have been trying their hand at them. I think Stan has done a fine job with keeping up with them and coming up every week with a new, interesting and educational Challenge.

Thank you very much, Rhonda! And, yes, I see what you mean. It does resemble crochet. (Though it doesn't look a thing like any of the things I crocheted in the past. I wish my crochet looked like this!)

LOL! I tried knitting but got bored because it seemed to take forever to get anything made. I thought about trying crochet but haven't attempted it yet (although I bought a book for beginners). I think doing these things *digitally* would be the best thing!

wolfepaw In reply to Rhonda---Young [2012-09-26 15:24:39 +0000 UTC]
Agreed! The only thing I ever knitted was a scarf type of thing and it just rolled itself into a tube. So much for my knitting prowess. I fared a bit better with crochet. I once made a throw that had panels of crocheted roses on it. It was a nice 3D effect, but it took forever. I think that's the last thing I ever crocheted.
